Hi Hilary!
My great great grandfather's initials was A.J. his name was Albert Jenkins Stallman. This is what I know of him. He was born in 1862. He married Ailsey (Dillon) Stallman on April 27,1884. Micro film# 0807456. I have found Ailsey (Dillon) Stallman's name spelled different too. It was also spelled Alcey. Why? I don't know but I guess people just made mistakes when spelling it. Her birth year was 1865. They had a son (my great grandfather) Charles William (C.W.)Stallman: b.Aug.221885-Dec6,1952. He(C.W.)married Maude Stallman:b.Nov.25,1890-Sept29,1978. I have no idea how many children Albert Jenkins & Ailsey had but your husband's grandmother may have been one of them. I really hope I've helped you, ask family members what they may remember (even take notes it really does help) ask them if any of these names sound familar. Keep in touch maybe we can help each other out. My email address is Check out these web sites., & they are a huge help. the last one has tons of great info about Stallman's & other families from grantsville W.V. It's really amazing. Well good luck with your search and write back asap so I'll know if our A.J. is the same person. Bye! Angie
