I found Lewis in early rec. of Hampshire Co. Va. 10-16-1797 sold land to Jacob Boft of Fredrick Co. Va. also 130 acres on Patterson Creek 10-16-1797 Witness Thos.Lory,Arch. Watts & John Heinsman. Also 9-14-1795 80 ac. on Patterson Creek to John Doveridge Hampshire Co. Va. witness Andrew Wodrow.
250 ac. Stagg Run these were Fairfax Lands sold for taxes 1788 This must have prompted the move to Lewis Co. ca. 1800
