I will have to dig deeper to see what I have on William--and off the top of my head, I know Jacob arrived in 1751 on the Duke of Wirtemburg. I have found Jacob taking the oath of allegiance in Lancaster Co. and a mention is made of a Jacob improving land in Berks/Schuylkill Co. in 1776/7, I believe. This land is later the property of John Stahlman, but there is some doubt whether the early land dispute record I found refers to a "real" Jacob or a Johannes Jacob, in other words, John. Since my earlier posting, I have found William with a son Jacob, so the possibility of a relationship has become a little "thinner", so to speak. I keep hoping to become enlightened about research on the German end, possibly tying together these miscellaneous Stahlmans in their departure records. I think I may have found a list of William's children on the familysearch site, but don't have it at hand now.
