A couple of questions? How did you determine that Melchior was Jacob's uncle and where did you get the middle initial "S" for The eldest son, Solomon? My information has Melchior coming in 1741, not 1751, I think. I was just in WV to do some research and am still uncertain about the connection between the John Stahlman family and the Peter/Lewis, etc. Stallmans. At one point, members of both branches were in Calhoun County. It's interesting that the variations in spelling -- Stahlman and Stallman -- keep popping up in the different groups. I am not sure if it means anything, but it does seem to follow family lines to an extent. I look forward to hearing from you.
