Hi Darlene,

Thanks so much for responding to my message! Here is the deed that lists the children of Michael Stamback. There were eight living children it appears. Later, in 1818, John dies and leaves the land to Philip & Priscilla and to Philip & Elizabeth (Stamback) Seacat, so John apparently didn't have any wife or children to leave it to. There is no marriage record for a John in Botetourt Co. that I have been able to find.

I believe the widow of Michael Stamback was named Barbara and she migrated to Preble Co, OH with the "younger" children. I don't understand why she is not mentioned in the above deed though - unless she might have been a 2nd wife???

David, Catey, Jesse & Isaac all eventually migrated to Preble Co, OH - taking Barbara along as I said. I do have some information on these descendants, which I would gladly share. I'm interested in anything you might have on Philip and Priscilla and their descendants.

If you would like to e-mail directly, please do. My e-mail address is pherman@jscomm.net. Thanks! Peggy
