ROANOKE COUNTY VA DEED BK___P.107,108 OLD STANBACK LAND LOCATION
This deed made this 1 day of March 1901,between A.R.Leslie,JohnL.Bandy and D.P.Richardson,Trustees of the (old) Mount Pleasant Church property of the first part and Chas.Edington and Jno.O.Myers,executors of Jno.D.Edington,deceased,of the second part.
Whereas,by deed dated the -DAY OF _1841,Philip Edington did convey undo Jacob Kefauver,Peter Kefauver and James Edington,Trustees,four acres of land,known as the (old)Mount Pleasant Church property,which said particularly describing and land is recorded in Deed Book A page 327,of the records of Roanoke,VA and whereas on the petition of the M.E.Church South,and the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church,the said parties of the first part were appointed trustees to hold the said property in the place and stead of the former trustees who were dead,by the Circuit Court of Roanoke County on the _day of_1900 and
Whereas,by an arrangement and agreement entered into between the said Churches,which were the only religious bodies that had ever used the said property in accordance with the terms of the said deed from Philip Edington and the late John D.Edington and also the trustees of Big Lick School District in the said County,it was agreed that the said John Edington should deed the said churches and religious congregations lots more eligibly located,and that in return the said trustees should deed threeof the above named four acres to the said John D. Edington and the one acre thereof with the building to the said School District,the said School District to bear all the expenses of carrying out the said agreement,and
Whereas the said John D.Edington did in his life time______
Beginning at a white _on a line of the STANBACK LAND at A and with the same S80 E22 thence N44 E12 poles to a pine stump on a line of the STANBACK LAND at 3,thence leaving the same S45 E10 poles to a chestnut __road corner to the school house lot at 4 thence ___so as to leave the school house lot N80 3/4 W 10 poles,stake at 5,thence S 9 1/2 W 16 poles to a pine tree at 7 orginal corner,thense old linesN 83 W34 poles crossing branch at 8,thence up the branch 16 poles to the beginning,said propertyto be held and disposed of by said executors as provided in said property.

Additional note:About 4 generations of my family have attended Mt.Pleasant School.It has been rebuild about 3 times.We did not know that we were that close to land that once belonged to our ancestors over 200 years ago.
