This is the first time I have seen a baptismal date for Magdalena and I certainly hope it proves to be right. It does seem that someone may have confused Johann Jacob and Johann Michael, since the names and dates for several of the children are the same. I, too, had seen the information that my ancestor Magdalena was born ca. 1747, the daughter of Johann Jacob Stambach. I have always been reluctant to accept it though, because her baptism, as far as I know, is not recorded. What concerns me is the fact that Johann Jacob's daughter Maria Elisabetha (born 1750) was the second wife of John Ickes. I have always been concerned that someone has assumed that since both of John Ickes's wives were Stambachs, they had to be sisters. This cannot be taken for granted without proof. But if there is a baptism recorded somewhere for Magdalena, I will be eager to hear about it. As for someone (Johann Jacob or Johann Michael) having two daughters named Anna Barbara, that is quite believable if the first one died.
