Jacob&John Michael Stamb 1743 Hanover,PA

Anyone have info on the Jacob Stambach in York Co. (then Lancaster Co.) who (in records of St. Mattews Luthern Church) had son John Michael baptized 12 Oct. 1743 ? My gggggrandfather would be this John Michael Stambach, and I thought somehow his father Jacob should be the descendant of Johann Jacob and Margreth, who settled in the same area. Now I believe that John Michaels's father Jacob is the one possibly erroneously listed in Burgert's book "18th Cent. Emigrants From N. Alsace To America".
The book has the record of Rev. John Casper Stoever that says "Jacob Stambach (Conewago) had a dtr. Maria Catharina B. 22 Sept. 1740. Spons: Joh. Georg Kuntz and dtr. Maria Catharina and Maria Elisabetha Morgenstern. This doesn't fit in at all with the Johann Jacob/Margreth family to which the book is alluding. It does, however fit with the Jacob and son John Michael family at St. Mattews. Further, at St. Mattews in 1744 a baptism was witnessed by Jacob Stambach and his wife Ursula. According to another posting on Genforum, Magdalena Stambach married John Ickes in 1763 at St. Mattews. If this Magdalena was John Michaels's sister, it may show that John Ickes wife was not the sister of Maria Elizabeth Stambach(his second wife). St. Mattews records show a Henry Ickes bapt. dtr. Anna Barbara 1759 (brother of John Ickes perhaps?).
