I am trying to figure out which Philip and Barbara. My line is through John Stambach born 10/10/1793 and died 9/3/1828 Centre Twp. Syder Co. PA. He married Elizabeth Walter about 1813. She was born in 1792 and died 11/07/1866 in Musser's Valley, Troxelville, Snyder Co., PA.

This John Stambach's birth date as recorded on his grave stone perfectly matches a John Stambach born on 10/10/1793 in York Co., PA as recorded in the church records of St. Peter's Reformed and Lutheran Chruch, York as son of Philip Stambach and Barbara. Working trough Church Records and Census Records in Cordorus, I have determined that the Philip who is the father of my John Stambach was born between 1750 and 1765 and died March 5, 1800 in Cordorus Twp. His wife Barbara was born between 1755 abd 1765 and died after 1800.

Children of this Philip and Barbara are at least the following: Jacob b. 7/15/1783, Henry b. 9/14/1785, Catharine b. 10/7/1787, Anna Maria b. 4/18/1789, and John born 11/10/1793.

I have reviewed published information, and I can find no one who has identified my John as the son of this Philip, they have another John that is incorrect. Also I have seen no proof of the parentage of John's father Philip.

Any help would be appreciated.
