I need to correct some information on my earlier post. I received some information today from the York County PA Archives that indicates Jacob Stambach was not deceased it was his wife Maricha (Mary) who had passed away. On Feb 14th 1826, Jacob filed a petition to be the guardian of his children, John, Sussana, Daniel, Jacob and Polly. His request was denied and the children uncles Samuel and John Nace were appointed their guardians.
