My Staubach/Stobaugh line is from PA...York or Lancaster
County. Arrived in Philadelphia in 1752 from Alsace region
of France/Germany. Johan Heinrich Staubach was the original
name and was changed to John Henry Stobaugh eventually.
Are the stambaughs and staubachs the same or could they
be the same family ??? My line went to VA after the Rev.
War (land grants in Montgomery County).
