Sorry about this inexcusable delay. Was reviewing posts and noted I had not responded to your question. I have a new email since my original posting so that may have complicated things. Let me try to answer.

Philip & John were very common name in the Stambach/Stambaugh families. My best guess (only a guess because I have not researched it) is that your Philip was born 20 Nov 1754 and was the son of the immigrant and family elder, Jacob Stambach. Jacob's wife was Margaretha. Details on this Philip are lacking and I have not dedicated any time to researching him, but it might be a starting point for you.

Should you find that this is the line you are looking for, I have lots of information on Jacob, the elder.
