A recently published book on the Hite family of Bedford County, Pennsylvania includes 54 pages of material on descendants of Henry Stambaugh (1807-1879) and his wife Elizabeth Hite (1805-1867) of Bedford County. Elizabeth was a daughter of the Revolutionary War soldier Christopher Hite and his wife Margaret. The complete ad for the book is below:

A new book has recently been published on some of the Hite families in Bedford County, Pennsylvania and the surrounding area. This book, entitled "Hite Family Connections in South-Central Pennsylvania: Descendants of Christopher and Margaret Hite of Bedford County and Conrad and Maria Hite of Somerset County, 1759-1999." includes 712 pages of material on the descendants of these two couples. Also included are an index and more than 40 pages of photographs. Christopher Hite (ca. 1759-1827) and Conrad Hite (1763-1835) were both Revolutionary War veterans from Bedford County. They were probably brothers, but that has never been proven. Christopher remained in Bedford County, but Conrad eventually settled in neighboring Somerset County. This book, authored by Richard Hite and published by Millennium Services, Incorporated, is available from the author for $38 (which includes postage) at this address:
