I happened to read your e-mail just this morning while looking for one of my postings that someone had replied to. My husband's Stamm/Stam ancestors are of the same line as yours, but he descends from Nicholas's son Johann Adam (brother to your Frederick).
Johann Adam (1/31/1780 - 4/25/1861) m. Elizabeth Keen (11/4/1780 - 7/4/1864).
Their son Wilhelm Adam "William" Stamm (6/27/1814 - 4/13/1844) m. Lydia Gentzel (11/17/1812 - 2/9/1899).
Their son Henry E. Stam (he apparently changed the last name when he moved his family to Illinois) (8/22/1835 - 1910) m. Julia Harter (8/5/1835 - 11/26/1920).
Their son John Wesley Stam (6/3/1856 - 11/15/1915) m. Minnie J. Markley (b. 1863).
Their son Jesse W. Stam (7/1/1888 - 9/8/1956) m. Mabel Martin (1/23/1889 - 8/21/1940)
Their son Richard is my father-in-law. His son Josepeh is my husband.
We just attended the Stam Family Reunion in Watseka, Illinois. Everyone there is a descendent of Henry E. Stam who moved the family to Illinois. He first moved his family from Pennsylvania to Indiana in 1862 and then to Illinois in 1867. I will be adding some information that I collected at the Reunion to our family tree and hope to eventually receive more from some of the attendees, including copies of the pages of the family bible (from the 1800's).
I checked my family tree and I have your ancestors up to Frederick's son Charles William m. to Mary Gingrith (but I'm not sure if this spelling is correct). Any information that you could provide from Charles on down would be appreciated. I can provide you with more information on the descendants of Nicholas's son Johann Adam if you are interested.
