Could this be the J.S. Stampley that is buried at the Methodist Cemetery at Bedias,Texas? This is all the information
I have on this Stampley other than back
before my Dad passed away and we were going
through the cemetery up there, and I remember
him telling me that was Dr. J.S. Stampley's
tomb, it's located not too far from cousin
L.S. Smith Stampley's grave in the cemetery.
I also aquired a copy of the portion of the
book " History of Grimes Co." on the Stampley's, is William Smith Stampley History
told by cousin L.S.Smith Stampley's daughter
Helen S. McCune, do you know her, and is she
still living in Grimes Co.? I will be glad to
share copies of this if you will send me your
address. I am the ggranddaughter of Ada Bell
Stampley and James Riley Slocumb.(copy from the Huntsville,Tx. Library)
