Searching for information about a lady named Alice C. OWENS/STAMPLEY/TRUE (1852-1935) and we know she married a Stampley in Grimes Co. Texas before she married T.K.True in Coryell Co. Texas in 1898. She applied for Civil War Pension with T.K.True in Coryell Co. TExas #36554. We found her picture and a card with some old family papers. Card has written on it: " This quilt was made in the latter half of the 19th Century by Alice C. Owens/True(1852-1935)Temple, Tx. The individual pieced blocks are quite similiar to the patterns "Variable Star" and "Texas Star", but this completed quilt is known as "Old Tippecanoe and Tyler Too," It honors William Henry Harrison, Military Hero and united states President 1773-1841. WE need any information connecting to her OWENS family....parents...her children..and etc....thanks for any help....Geraldine
