Afraid I can't help you with your specific enquiry. I was wondering if you had evidence of the name evolving from or to 'Stannage' or 'Stanage'. This is a very rare name in my family which seem to arise in 1840-1850 Country Monaghan (Ireland), then went to Scotland. Other sources suggest it may have originated from or had connection to Standage, or Standidge, or Standedge names in England. Appreciate any thoughts.
