I am looking for information on Jasper Henry Standage, who went by the name Henry J. Standage. He was born in September 1842 around Nashville, Tennessee. He married Cora Verina Foster on July 4, 1880 in Boise, Idaho. He died November 12, 1904 in Freewater, Oregon. His marriage certificate has his name as Standidge. I found a Standridge in Tennessee but I am unable to verify if this was the same family. There was a story in the family that at one time the spelling of the name had changed but I am unable to verify that this happened. Jasper Henry came to Oregon in about 1856 by ox cart from Tennessee. I have no idea who his parents were or if he had any brother and sisters. I am hoping that someone has come across any information that might be helpful. Jasper and Cora had the following children: James Allen, George Jasper, Ethel Mary, John Barber, Celia Nema, and Tennessee Myrtle. James Allen & Tennessee are buried in Walla Walla, Washington; George Jasper in buried in Portland, Oregon; Ethel Mary, John Barber,& Celia Nema are buried in Milton-Freewater, Oregon. Anyone doing research on any of those people, please contact me. I can also be reached by my firstname.lastname@example.org
