Not surprised, my 3rd grt grandparents were first cousin Standefers. Everyone I've had contact with, have Standefer cousin marriages. Have you tried Claiborne and Hancock Co, TN GenWeb sites? I haven't used those, but Hawkins Co, TN is putting their probate records online. Many TN counties have their cemeteries online. If any county histories have been published some GenWeb sites have volunteers who will do lookups (not research) for such as published histories. Be sure to leave your query there, too. By the way, it is easier to read queries if you capitalize proper nouns. An example from your query: hancock co. tenn tends to run all together. In queries I put surname all in caps. STANDEFER stands out in the middle of a query.
