I'm pretty sure your lineage for William Riley Standefer (or one WRS, at least)is right. Mary Riley was the daughter of William Riley whose Rev. War pension indicates he was born in Baltimore, Md, the son of John. They moved to Orange County, NC, along with several other families including the Standifers. William, Mary's father, again moved with a group to Oglethorpe Co., Ga. and they are included in the 1800 Oglethorpe census. Does anyone have info to help identify John Riley from Baltimore? I think he married Mary Ruff and moved to NC around 1761.
