Sharon,

Again, this is general information...But the Standifer family in Giles, VA were kin to the Wilburn families there.
I believe the family was in very early colonial VA (known then as Standiford)...At least this is the conclusion that I reached. With gaps in between.

At any event, the Stanifers were allied with the Plummers and Warner families too. And the Van Bibbers, if I have sorted this out corrected..Anyhow, I cannot connect exactly how these families are related, but I know that they are kin of some sort.

Lewis Wilburn (b. 1770) and his family were kin to these families. Lewis also lived in Claiborne Co TN, while two of his brothers lived in Giles, VA...
