Ria,

I am trying to help my daughter get started on researching her husband's family and we have come across the following info:

William R. Standifer md Sarah A. M. (Sallie) Galloway, Panola Co, TX, Mar 21, 1871.

In one of your other posts I noticed that you have info that William died in 1879. We have also found where Mrs. Sallie Standifer married John Haney in 1884, Panola Co, TX, so we have assumed that her Standifer husband died. ???

My problem with the William R. Standifer's being the same is that Sallie Galloway was born in 1856 which would make your William about 30 yrs her senior. Not out of the question, of course, but I wonder if this William R may not be a son of your William R.

Have you managed to trace your William R? Any info appreciated.
