Jay, I hope you are still researching. The last time I posted I did not know very very about the Standin Family. My John M. Standin was born about 1809 in Edenton, Chowan County, NC. I believe his father was Marion Standin son Henderson Standin & Frances Lee Blount, I sent for Henderson's will to verify. I find that Edward Standin owed quite a bit of land in Chowan County, I am not sure how Edward ties in but he probably does.
My John M. Standin had a brother Samuel Stin who married a Harriet Warren also in Halifax County, NC, Any information on the family I would greatly appreciate. Thanks Michael
