Nice to see all the Standings from UK, but not quite ready for that. Looking for Edward Standing (wife Sarah) who received a land grant of 2000 acres in 1712 in the Chowan/Perquimans/Hertford Co. areas of eastern North Carolina, USA. Children were Samuel, Edward, William, Sarah, and John. Would love to hear from any NC Standings from there forward. Always thought it would be a very common English name, but does not show up very often in the US.
