Hi karen, Thanks for your response.As far as l know,Nancy Standing who married James Pendlebury did not come out to Australia,only their son,John Pendlebury did.His death states that his birth is Manchester,and that his parents are James pendlebury Esq;of Thrugg's[which l now believe is Shruggs]Bleach works, Preston,his mother being Nancy Standing.l haven't yet been able to find connections,but one site l did find when l googlesearched Shruggs bleach Works,Preston[have a look],has mentioned a Manager there named ?[can't remember first name]Standring.l would presume this is a connection to Nancy.Have a look and let me know what you think,l'm very interested.Thanks,Pauline in Aus.
