Carhart-Warne Genealogies
Robert Lord did not have a daughter Mary Lord. The abbreviation “d.” stands for “died” NOT “daughter. “Savage” was misread to say that Robert Lord had a daughter born in Charlestown 13 July 1678. It actually said that he (Robert Lord) possibly “died” in Charlestown 13 July 1678.
The Robert Lord who died in Charlestown 13 July 1678, was son of Samuel & Elizabeth Lord and was born there 22 Nov 1675. He was three years old!
“Carhart Genealogy” 1880, which was used for the reference for the “Warne Genealogy” changed the town to “Cambridge” and subtracted 10 years from the date in order to make it fit. There was NO Mary Lord to have possible married a Thomas Carhart license issued 22 Nov 1691 in Staten Island. Examination of the Vital Records of Charlestown and Cambridge will confirm this.

I will be happy to photocopy the primary source documents and summary of my research and ‘snail mail’ them all to you. This is a very complex and confusing family and can only be resolved by IGNORING the secondary sources and looking ONLY at the primary sources.
