I am researching my grandmother's family who came to East London area from Suffolk in mid 19th c.

I'm looking for details of parents of Joseph Stannard (1815-1872) who married twice (Mary Ann Cant in 1866 and Mary Ann Hall in 1839). Mary Ann Cant, before her marriage, worked for 9 years as ?housekeeper for Rev Alex Synge of St Peter's Parsonage, Ipswich. He gave her a family bible in which she included many of these details.

Joseph's children were (I think) William, George, Matilda and Frederick by 1st wife, and John James b 1869 by 2nd wife.

John James married Lily Pincks Winch and had a daughter Lily Mary b 1899 (my grandmother) and possibly a son Joseph b after 1901 census. I'd live to hear of any connections. Thanks.
