Stannard-Richardson - Henry Co., VA, c. 1778

In 1777 or 1778, Allegheny McGuire took the place of his uncle "Stenard" Richardson during the Revolutionary War. At the time, Allegheny was living in Henry Co., VA but I do not know where his uncle lived. Allegheny was the son of Zachariah McGuire and Allegheny's mother may have been Susannah Richardson. This information comes from Allegheny's RW pension application in 1843 Hardin Co., TN.

Are any Stannard family researchers aware of a Stannard/Richardson marriage which took place 1740 or earlier, most likely in Virginia? I have been unable to find Stenard Richardson and I am wondering if his name comes from a marriage between a Stannard and a Richardson.

Any information would be appreciated.
