Daniel Stanphill - OOPS & his pension here

An alert researcher brought to my attention that if the above message was correct, Daniel Pumphrett Stanphill would have married his aunt. WRONG. William Gotcher Stanphill married Elizabeth Malloy/Malone. Their son Daniel Pumphrett Stanphill, according to an article submitted by Christie Crouch Genola to a Franklin County family history book, Daniel b 6 June 1836, Franklin Co., AL, christened at Ebenezer Primitive Baptist Church, Vina, AL md (1st) Mary Frances Sullinger (2nd) Sarah Cleveland (3rd) Frances Eveline Cleveland. Sarah and Frances were said to have been sisters. I do not have proof of this, but his wife F.E. Stanphill applied for a Civ War pension:

Stanphill, F.E., widow of Daniel Stanphill, Franklin Co., AL>Eastman, Itawamba Co., MS
1 Aug 1916, age 65 at application, resident of MS 48 years. Living Eastman, Itawamba Co., MS with (unnamed) son. States she has 3 sons and 2 daughters. Married 10 October 1862 in Franklin co, AL. Husband enlisted Spring 1862, Company E, Gen Roddy’s 1st Ala Cav, served until close of War, served under Col. Forist, Capt Elloc Fancher, Lieu Fletcher Patterson, discharged May 1865 at Fort Delaware. Daniel died Eastman, Itawamba Co., MS 11 Jan 1880. Witness/Attest: A.T. Cleveland & Geo W. Sanders.
9 July 1924, residing Itawamba Co., MS. P.O. Red Bay, AL Route 1. Full name of husband Daniel Stanphill, married Franklin Co, AL 10 Oct 1867 Husband enlisted Spring 1862 at Franklin Co., AL. Officers of his company were “Col. Forest, Cap Ellot/Elloc Foncher, Lieu”. Witnessed as true: F. C. Russell, G.E. Conwill, N.C. Grissom.
