I read your posting with great interest. My grandfather was Garland Stanphill and he was the son (I think) or grandson of Samuel and Martha. My father is Raymond.
I have some information on the Stanphills. The surname is English and has been traced to the time of William the Conquorer. Willing to share all I know. Please get in touch.
