Shepherd Wileman m Clarinda Caroline Stanphill [Stanfield] 21 Dec 1843 in Marshall co, AL; by Wm Wordsworth, M.G. Their ch from 1870 USC of Marshall co: Nancy J. (m John Morton, son Burtin), Mary, Thomas W., Evaline E., James H., Alva G., Shepard M. Not on Soundex in AL 1880.

William B. Standphill m Nancy Ellen Swords 15 May 1844 in Marshall co, AL; Wm Wadsworth, M.G. USC 1850 & 1860 Franklin co, AL. 1860 lists: Wm B Stanfield 30 AL (probably error, b ?TN), Nancy 35 TN, Nancy E. 15 AL, James J. 9 AL, Pomphrey F. 6, Wm 6/12, Irena J. Stanfield 18 AL. Haven't found later.

Thomas P. Harrison m Mary L. Stanphill 6 Dec 1849 Marshall co, AL; Thos L. Roden, JP.
USC 1850 Marshall co, Nancy A. Stanphill/field is living in their hh. 1860, 1870 living near Shepherd & Clarinda Wilemon. 1880 living Mt. High, Marshall co, AL. Their ch from census records: Louisa A., Manerva C., Aron W., Mary Isabella, Thomas B. Thomas' [Sr] father was probably Aron Harrison, living nearby.

1848 Nancy A. Stanphill of Guntersville, Marshall co., AL applied for Bounty Land Warrant on service of her deceased son, Cornelius, killed in Mexican War. She said father of Cornelius was James, and she was only living parent, Cornelius unmarried, no children. He enlisted 3 March 1847, age 19, b Bedford co, TN was 5'6", light hair, gray eyes, light complected. Died 2 June 1847 "in
hospital" Carrollton, LA. Affidavits on her behalf by William B. Stanfield & Clarinda Wileman, witnessed by Louis Wyeth.

I am not a direct descendant of these lines, but am researching Stanfield/phill.
