Hi Michael,
I have collected much of the early history of the Stansbury's in Devon going back to Benjamin (Sally and I are already known to each other). Here it has got rather difficut as his surname is also spelt as Stanbury. I belong to the Herefordshire clan and was interested to find if there was a connection. I understand that someone has attempted to link Bishop Stanbury, who originated in Morwenstowe to the Stansbury's but it looks unlikely. Stanbury is more of a Devon/Cornwall name than Stansbury historically. Or do have any information to condradict that?
By the way I live in Devon but came from Cardiff.
Michael Stansbury
