John STANSBURY, about 1855-after 1920, Champaign Co., IL

Seeking information on John Stansbury, born 1855 in Illinois, died
after 1920 probably in Illinois. John was the (natural?) son of
John F. Stansbury and Louisa "Eliza" Stine, and grew up in
the household of his step-father, George W. Painter and
mother. (Recorded there in the 1860 and 1870 censuses;
Ford and McLean Counties, respectively) In the 1880 census,
he was a boarder in Champaign County.

John Stansbury married Sarah Ann "Annie" Revell in 1883,
and they had three children:
Fannie, b. 1884
Bertha, b. 1885
George William, b. 1887.

The couple were later divorced, and John married either
a Martha or a Matilda, and together they had two children:
Ethel
Edna

Our last record of John Stansbury is the 1920 census. He
was living with his half-sister Laura B. (Painter) Burchnall
in Urbana, Champaign County, Illinois. John was reported
to be aged 67 and a widower.
