It's Possible that your decendant came from Virgina and more than likely connected to the Detmar Renkse Stansbury as I am. This is what I found on the Virginia Fredrick County.
Ezekiel Stansbury
Son of ????
Ezekiel Stanbury, born 1759 in VA., and died before 1815 in Greene Co, TN. He may have been the son of Nehemiah Stanborough.

He married Esther Neal 19 August 1788 in Frederick Co, VA., born 05 December 1761 probably VA.; died 07 April 1850 in McLean Co., IL.

Ezekiel was a farmer, and lived in Frederick Co. VA., 1787 to 1791. By 1805 Ezekiel is in Green Co. TN., and listed on the tax rolls from 1805-1812.

The best source for a death date on Ezekiel Stansbury comes from the works of E. Duis, "Good Old Times in McLean County Illinois" page 236-239, a Biographical sketch of Abraham Stansbury, son of Ezekiel. He states that Abraham was about seven years old when his father died, and his Mother took charge of the farm. This would place the death of Ezekiel sometime around 1815. This information was donated by James White a descendant of Ezekiel Stansbury.

Children of Ezekiel Stanbury and Esther Neal are:

1. William Stansbury, born 1789 in Frederick Co. VA.
2. Solomon Stansbury, Sr., born 1790 in Frederick Co VA; died 1854 in Fannin Co., GA. He married Sarah Wilhite 14 October 1809 in Greene Co., TN.

6. Edward Stansbury, born 1798 in Greene Co TN., and died 02 October 1852 in McLean Co IL. He married Polly Ann Graham.
