Walter and James Stansberry of Missouri

I am trying to locate the parents of Walter, DOB 1-1-1872(also appears as 1874 and 1875 on different Census reports) and James, DOB Jan 1876 (also appears as 1875 and 1877 on different Census Reports) Stansberry (AKA: Stansbury, Stansbery, Stanesbery.) Both were born in Ohio Township, Mississippi Co, MO. The 1880 Census shows them living with Doctor(that is his first name) E. Harris, Elizabeth(AKA: Permalia/Pernilia/Parmelia Ann Elizabeth Shoemaker--born in TN in May 1825) and Annie Moore, Elizabeth's daughter from a prior marriage(?), born 1859 in Missouri. Annie's relationship to Mr. Harris is step-daughter, while Walter and James info indicate there is no relationship to him. Walter & James lived in Birds Point Village, Ohio Township, MO when 1900 Census was done. 1900 Census gives James as being married in 1897 to Bertha, maiden name unknown, who was born in Feb 1879 in Kentucky, according to that Census. They had one living child, Blanche P born in 1900. Living with them at that time was Permalia/Pamalia A Elizabeth Harris and she is listed as grandmother to James. I can find no further record of James and his family after that Census. Walter moved to Tennessee and married my great grandmother, Mollie (Mary Jane) Ballard in 1904 and they lived in Humphreys County, TN until he died in 1921. I have been unable to establish a blood line from Permalia A Elizabeth Shoemaker Harris to Walter and James. I don't know if their parents died or what the situation was. The 1870 Census does list Elizabeth Shoemaker living with a family, A and C Stansbery--no first names listed, with a Wm. J born 1869, in Ciaro, IL, which is just across the Mississippi River from where Birds Point Village used to be. ANY information will be greatly appreciated as I have spent 3 months on this line. Thanks
