I have a bit of possible information about an Isaac Switzer and a possible Stansbury connection, but it doesn't sound like what you are after.

William Stansbury, Sr., (c.1800 - Feb 1886) was a hotel keeper in the town of Westminster in Carroll County, Maryland in the 1870 Census. He married Ann “Eliza”(c.1811 - 12 May 1884), but I don't know her maiden name. Eastern Hotel was near Washington Road in Westminster, and it was often called Stansbury’s Hotel.

William had not been living with Eliza and their children in 1850 or 1860. William was living nearby with his brothers. In 1870 and 1880, William and Eliza were living together.

They had a son, William Stansbury, Jr., (born c.1838), but I don't know if he married.

William, Sr., was the son of Caleb Stansbury, Sr., (Dec 1754 - 17 Nov 1845) and Elizabeth (Shilling) Stansbury (c.1763 - 27 Feb 1831).

I read a story somewhere on the Internet that Caleb supposedly raised a boy named Isaac Switzer (10 July 1804 - 25 Apr 1877). Stories were told to Isaac’s descendants that he was an orphan or the illegitimate child of a Switzer woman that came from Europe, worked in Maryland, and had a child with her employer, whose surname was Stansbury. Once Isaac found out that he was an illegitimate child, he took his mother’s name of Switzer. Isaac Switzer married Lucinda (Martin) Switzer, moved to Ohio, and had 10 sons. One of the sons is buried in Hampstead, Carroll County, Maryland.

In the 1860 Census, James Switzer (born c.1805), lived in the next household from Eliza Stansbury (William's wife) in the Carrollton Post Office area of the Woolery District of Carroll County, Maryland. James was born in Maryland and he was a farm hand. He lived in the household of William Long (born c.1815).
