Northern Stansel/Stansell Family website: For Descendants of Nicholas Stansel
For those interested in the Stansel (Stansell, Stensel) family who settled in the northern United States, I’ve created a website where I am gathering information about the family. So far the website has photos of a 200-year-old Stansel homestead, Stansel-related links, a list of Northern Stansel researchers, and a discussion page.
I plan to add more genealogy information in the future, and I would love any information (especially primary source documents) that you might have and would like to share with others. The website is located at:

The Stansel family settled in the northern part of the United States beginning with Nicholas Stansel and Elizabeth DeGraff, who lived in New York in the early 1700s.Their descendants settled in the Midwest and Northeast, including New York, Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan.I am a 6th great grandson of Nicholas Stansel and Elizabeth DeGraff.
