Holly, My g-grandfather was Isaac Stants b. 1862 in Lima OH and died 1938 in Lima, Allen Co., OH. His father was also Isaac Stants b. 1824 in Clarion PA and died 1862 in the Civil War. While neither of there are the same as your Isaac, given the similarity in names and location (Allen Co.), I think it's possible that there is some conection. The Stants name seems to have many variations (Stentz, Stentze, Stans, Stants, Stant, for example) There is repotedly another Isaac in my family, who was son of Peter Stants b. abt 1825 but I don't know much about him. I have information on this family going back to the 1600's but much of it is rather sparse so you Isaac could fit in there somewhere. You didn't give dates for any of your posting. This would help, even if they are approximate. Nancy
