I remembered Spencer telling me that he had some Algonquin blood.
He said that the Stanyar's on the paternal side were in the logging industry in Hull.
He said that for three generations back, the Stanyar men, who worked out in the forests, married Algonquin women.
Some Algonquin's joined the great peace treaty, between the 5 or 6 nations in that region, that brought blood-shed and revenge to a stop.
I studied this subject because my dad's brother's wife looked after me and she had 5 or 6 (Tyendinaga)Mohawk children.
The Mohawk leader's were also were part of making this wonderful peace treaty.
Most PEOPLE want peace. It's the lEADERS that have to want peace. Peace treaties CAN happen. Our ancestors have proven this.
