Starbuck/Buck 18th century

I am a descendant of Charles Buck born 1752/3, I am not convinced he was originally a Starbuck.

I am looking for a James Buck who I think could be his father, as during this period 1st sons were named after the man's father, Charles son was called James.

I am at present looking for settlement papers which could tell me where he came from.

The Buck family in Hucknall Torkard were recruited into the Church of Latter Day Saints (mormons) in Hucknall, apparently there was a church there. Some of them went to Utah in 1866, this was found in the LDS records of immigration.

I read your letters with interest and will inform you if I find a James Buck

Regards

Pat Meads
Hucknall England
