Dawn, I HAVE indeed found the cabin (and have photos). it still stands to this day. I saw it only last year. It doesnt stand by much, but someone is trying to keep it intact. The grounds are well kept as well. I'm beginning to wonder if the cabin wasnt built by William, but rather by his son Edward (his gravesite is nearby). I have not yet found any proof that William was ever here in Indiana. The info I have on the cabin is identical to the info that is contained in "Starbuck's All" I did find the info that part of the land that the cabin was contained on was given to william's "beloved daughter, Abigail" and it states that the land was on Arba Pike, and is still traceable through the abstract (however, the abstract of WHICH property is questionable!) William did indeed have a daughter named abigail...I re-checked with his son Edward, and can NOT find a daughter with that name for him.
The D.N.R. for this area has been notified (by myself and others) about the cabin, and we are trying to begin the process of saving it. I'm trying to continue my research into this. Wish me luck!!
