Hi RJ,
Commodore Harden Starbuck was my GGGrandfather. I just returned from a visit to Linden, Perry County, Tenn, and was able to locate some great information. However, what I haven't found is the reason his parents, Sallie and William, never married. I have heard it was because she was Indian -- any information why?

Also, I was told that Commodore had been killed by another man, but while in Linden, I was told he was falsely charged with killing someone (instead) and he had left Tenn for Texas for a period of time, but eventually returned to Tenn.

Would welcome any information to confirm and of these stories.

Best regards -- Kay
