Hi RJ,
You confirmed what I have heard through stories from my grandmother. How is it you know these stories? Is it also from handed-down stories or is there anything in print to confirm the stories? I've searched for some kind of detail on Commodore's death, but can find nothing.

I'm guessing you are also a part of the Starbuck line -- if so, which line? In doing some online research I found some great information on the early Starbucks through the Nantucket Historical Society, http://nha.org/history/index.html, if you were not already aware of this site.

Best regards,
Kay
