SAUNTONS IN NEW YORK & NEW JERSEY

I am taking a wild chance here, however, anything at this point is worth trying. I'll try to make this story as short as possible. My grandfather was named George Staunton Christian, his father Enos Christian, mother Elizabeth ?. My Grandfather and Grandmother divorced before my Father reached 10 years of age. He was born in So. Charleston, WV. and he does not remember much of his Father or family, however, he does know his grandfather and Uncle did visit Rochester, NY often. I have an obituary confirming Enos Christian passing away in Rochester, NY. One son ( Lawerence)at that time living there as well. I feel this was in the late 1950's early 1960's. After trying to search the Christian side of the family I have found there have been Christian family from this area also, I have tried locating this branch in WV and come up dry.
With my grandfather named George Staunton Christian, I am hoping perhaps Staunton might be a maiden name of his mother since this is unknown, this is what I know of her. Elizabeth was of Irish or Dutch descent, Married Enos Christian in early 1900's had three sons, George Staunton, Lawrence, E.C. (died at a young age) and one daugther Alice Elizabeth, she died giving birth to this daughter in 1927 or 1929. If any of this rings a bell with anyone, please let me know.
