In about 1880 my grandmothers brother Arnold Mess emigrated to the USA. He was married to Anna Borst.
There were 2 sons named Eddy and John. It is said that one of the sons returned to Europe as a military in the 1st world war, but we got no prove of that.
The family lived in Marinette and later in Milwaukee, Wisc.
Arnold was born on July 3, 1861 in Diemen, near Amsterdam, Netherlands and he died on September 2, 1929 in Milwaukee.

Before they went to Marinette they may have stayed in Cook, IL.
