Does anyone have more information on the following?

John Stead Pvt., Pa. 11th Regt., from Pa. State Archives.

John Steed Capt., Va. Army, voucher 1796, see papers 1798,
and voucher 1783. From Va. State Library records.

I have 1700's marriage of a John Stead marriage to a
Cath/Kath. Cox. Also, found John Steed and sons in Pa. in
late 1700's and early 1800's.
