My line is thru Jesse Jr, Jesse Sr., then John Steed. I have been doing this for over 30 years, and have exhanged info with Gean Glass many times over past 20 years. We have some disagreements but, not many. Lots of people say John Steed had no living heirs upon his death but, I think the census and his will disproves those theories. And, I
think the land of Capt. John Steed in Ky. was not wanted by his sons and they agreed to the arrangements that were made.
They had land of their own from military service. I don't have proof of Steeds/Steads coming from England except, ships logs and immigration records. I guess they could be
wrong though. I will gladly add your line to my index if,
you will email it to me.
Regards, Joe
P.S. You will notice in my Steed Index that Jesse Steed's
land was also involved in a court battle???
