Your "Jesse" does not fit into our line, and Ive poured over our paper work {real documents} to 1870 trying to find a possible link.I have found none

To many people post the wrong info and then its taken as gospel. The research some in our line have done is the old way hard documents from the sources themselves, and i might ad at cost. Alot of people have stopped posting to the Steed boards because of the "John issue" and i cant blame them. Its fact John son of peter was a promoted Captain and saw Indian War service before the Revolution thats fact There are other John steeds that saw service not in our line. thats fact Im sitting here now with 400 pages of documents on our line I see not your "Jesse" nor a link at all to Peter{1} let alone John {1] son of Peter You asked for me to send you "my line" I cannot as i was asked not to, and i must respect the wishes of our family, they do not want said being modified and posted as true info without hard copy documents.The majority of info was processed over years of sending for documentation the traditional way and I might add a lifes work and at countless time and cost To many take said info, modify it and re post as their work along with the modifications and thus it is un proven, and that in itself ticks off some people I would oofer you to highly check more indepth into the NC Steed line there are alot of johns there but not ours. A DAR search and fax resulted in your will with john steed being for Ann hill DAR records and cross checkes indicate John {married to Ann Hill} Was born cira 1715 So thus not in our line and Not the son of Peter whom was born 1715 nor his son John born 1746
I again have checked, we have no jesse listed whom would tie back to John son of Peter If I find a link from jesse to our line i will adise you ASAP But Im highly convinced you are looking for a diffrent John "if a link evne goes to a John from your jesse" Sam .
