Dear Joyce:
Hans, father of Ulrich, moved from Affoltern, Canton Bern, Switzerland, and Elsi Graff moved to Hoffen, Alsace (now France) where he taught school. He died on May 2, 1730 and was buried there on May 3, 1730. Ulrich would have been a young man (20 years old) at the time.
