Hi Marlene,
I am working with a group who are researching the Steffy family whose roots are in the Lancaster Co. PA area. They have identified your Michael Steffy as belonging to the 1727 immigrant, Ulrich Steffy. This group has a DNA project for the Steffy (and related spellings). Do you have a STEFFY/STEFFEY (or related spelling) male relative who would submit a DNA sample for testing? It would be good to establish how your group relates to our ancestor Johann Philip STEFFEY (STEPHAN) who immigrated in 1737.
You can email me directly for more information about the DNA project if you are interested. Charlotte
